Hen that lays massive eggs acts slowish

Some people never see double yolk eggs. I saw quite a few when I had many young layers. Normally they stop laying those after a while. A few can lay them all their laying years. But an oversized egg can damage the cloaca, and if they have a shell-less egg, those can be difficult to pass. Also thin shelled eggs can break inside, and that can make them feel bad and cause a setup for infection. Sometimes we may see a dropping that contains egg contents or a membrane. I would watch to see that she is eating normally and not separating herself.

Edited to say, that coccidiosis is more common in warm weather, but there are cases of coccidiosis reported every day here. It doesn’t hurt to get a fecal test run, and to also look for other parasites.

Like I said, her crop has some food in it mid day so she should be eating just fine. She also is going for treats when provided and is roosting with others like normal.

Seems to be a calm bird, possibly some issues with the reproductive system since she lays such big eggs. I’ve done a lot of reasearch on Mareaks and she doesn’t have any symptoms, other than being a little sluggish, and is over 10 months when 99% of birds would get it (+she’s vaccinated). And no other birds seem to having this right now, although we lost a few 2 or 3 months ago to something.

It also can’t be Coccidiosis because it’s below freezing here. Coccidiosis Needs warm and humid areas to thrive and infect birds.
It sounds like she's just a bit of a slow bird then.

I don't think you understood the point I was trying to make - even if a bird is "vaccinated" there is always a possibility that they can succumb to the illness or condition they were vaccinated for. Just like many people get a flu vaccine each year, can still become symptomatic from the flu.

I would just keep a watch on her:)
