Hey guys, I have a hen named Pinky who has been twisting her neck at odd angles under her belly for two weeks now. I assumed it was wry neck (torticollis) so I started giving her NutriDrench and special food. I should mention that she is blind, but she had been most of/all of her life so I don't think it's related. Pinky is a rescue hen, so I don't know much about her backstory, but I think she is around two years old. I would like to know if my "diagnosis" was correct and if I'm doing the right thing?

P.S. Pinky is currently separated from the flock and living in our quarantine coop. Sorry i don't have any great pics of her

Awe, so sorry!

What usually is given for wry neck is a human's Vitamin E (400 iu. or close) and a little bit of scrambled eggs for the selenium to help the E absorb. You'll need to give her the E whole as it's nasty and you can't mix it in anything as she won't touch it. Open her beak and put it in, she can swallow it.

Also, a B-complex vitamin if you have it, I'd give her 1/4 of one of those. Folks usually say 1/2 I've seen but she looks rather on the smaller side. Both of these you'd give her daily for a week or two and see if it's helping. Neither will hurt her either if that's not what's wrong.

Thanks! I have been giving her the NutriDrench because it has Vitamins E and B and selenium, but I'll see if I have human pills to give her.
