Hen very vocal.....

If the EL doesn't perk them up...
When I have a bird acting 'off'.....
I isolate bird in a wire cage within the coop for a day or two....so you can closely monitor their intake of food and water, crop function(checking at night and in morning before providing more feed), and their poops. Feel their abdomen, from below vent to between legs, for squishy or hard swelling.

Best to put crate right in coop or run so bird is still 'with' the flock.
I like to use a fold-able wire dog crate (24"L x 18"W x 21"H) with smaller mesh(1x2) on bottom of crate under tray.
Then you can put tray underneath crate to better observe droppings without it being stepped in. If smaller mesh is carefully installed, tray can still be used inside crate.

I will give them EL in morning with fresh water also. I did finally catch her tonight before she went on roost and her crop was not full. So if no improvement in her I will crate her in the run, thanks for the tip on using tray under mesh to keep her cleaner. I will update on her tomorrow Thanks again!

Hot weather can put them off their feed.
It can also cause loose poops due to drinking more water,
and it goes right thru them to shed heat from body.
Update on Ellie Mae: Not eating. She went to roost earlier than normal tonight, crop empty. She been drinking water with EL and tonight I gave her Nutri Drench by beak. I checked to see if she was egg bound and did not feel one. She has no diarrhea, no nasal or eye discharge, I have no idea what to do at this point. This morning she was pecking at food so I didn't cage her, she was out with sisters but probably cage her in morning to monitor her food

Ok this morning she is eating and drinking so she must feel better:fl maybe the EL has kicked in.

She did have some loose poops during the night and really looked strange. I am attaching a picture.

Pic didn't work.
Maybe you know this, but....plain water should be also be available when EL is offered.
