Hen vomiting now, help please?

Ok, same problem all over again. let me update y'all and see what you think:
-bird with the squishy crop or "crop stasis" got better so she went back out with everyone else.
-I didn't have $$ for wormer so I used DE in their food and "wormed" them this way.
-they have been on layer pellets, no scratch, and mainly tomatoes as a treat.
-I dusted the whole yard and house with DE
-I started everyone on BMD yesterday except my millies which look like they might have had blood in their stool. I seperated them and gave them sulmet (when it rains it pours).
-I had the same girl late to come out of the house this morning and so I checked on her and she has the squishy crop again and also had a creamy water vomit:-(
-I have pulled her inside and now I need to know what to do.
I read that sight DLHUNICORN suggested and some info that sounds inportant to this situation is giving epsom salt in water, and it said that sulmet might help?!?!?!? Which should I do? Can I do both? I have zero $$ right now and have already spent probably around $200.00 on my chickens the past two weeks. My husband is very not chicken happy with me right now so I can't spend much more:-( I can't help but feel as though the frizzles that were brought in caused a lot of all of this sickness my birds are encountering. I might be wrong but my coop is CLEAN, my birds are well fed and well taken care of, I am very discouraged right now. Any advise is appreciated:(
And DLHUNICORN please don't feel as though I disregarded your advise. I just didn't have any $$ and she seemed so much better that I felt as though I had a hold of the situation:-( I was wrong.

We feed our chickens steamed rice mixed with some crumble, ground fax seed and DE mixed in. We will also feed them plenty of vegetables, shrimp heads and shells and let them free-range. They always have plenty of fresh water with ACV added to it. ACV is a very inexpensive prevention to insure a healthy chicken. We have never experience a impacted crop or any illnesses from any of our chickens I find it amazing that so many people here have experience so many health problems with their chickens.

Ok, I called the cooperative extension who then called their poultry specialist. This is what he said to do:

-milk the crop (yes, I am covered in hen puke)
-give 50% pineapple juice and 50 % water today
then give water with 1 tablespoon of acv in it for ten days
-give only a small ammount of food each day whil eshe heals up

-he said that if thta doesn't work I can go buy some kind of disenfectant from tsc?!?!?!?!? and dilute it with water to give to her for 14 days and that should work.

I have never heard of the pineapple juice thing or the disenfectant thing and I was wondering if thta's b/c I'm new or it's off a little??? Have y'all ever heard of any of that? I am currently going to take a shower and then go get some pineapple juice. When I was emptying her crop I did notice that she has white dots in her mouth. Does that mean thta all of my hens are going to have thrush problems? I will begin giving them acv again after they are finished on BMD as I don't want to give them both. I am soooo sick of problems with my hens. I do take very good crae of them and they always seem to be sick. My freind down the street does almost nothing with hers and they are always fine with the exception of occasionally being eaten by a chicken hawk:-(

Aw, karri- I am so sorry to hear that things haven't improved for you!!! You have my total sympathy. FWIW I also couldn't beleive my bad luck with chickens considering how much we dote on them and how much $$ we spend on them.

I think that you are totally right about the thrush. Just from the extensive research I did when Penelope had crop problems, the sour crop and thrush seem to often go together and be caused by the same things. I will see if I can find links to some of those sour crop web pages I found.

I also think it's good that you called your extension people. If you can't afford a vet at least you can get some hopefully expert opinions. Is that person a vet (luckily ours was and he was super helpful.)?

I'll see if I can find the thrush/yeast/sour crop info...

Hang in there-
Stacey

Oh, I remember now. Some people reported having tried everything and then the only thing that worked was oral Nystatin (antifungal med). Is there any way you could get a vet to give you a prescription for it without taking her in? I also heard that if you can fill the scrip at a human pharmacy it will be much less $$ than filling it at a vet, FWIW.

THank-you for your support. I feel bad about always asking for advice but if I don't know, I don't know. I was very happy about the poultry expert being able to give me some help. I called him thanks to your advice! Thanks a ton:) I have to take a shower before I go buy pineapple juice since I am now covered in vomit and poo:eek:
I had to balance my check book first, my DH will absolutely KILL me if he knows I ma spending more $$ on the birds, thank goodness it's just juice right now!
