Can we put the Terramycin directly in her eye?
Always good to get advice of owners who have used teramycin. Unfortunately I've only had use of prescription ophthalmic meds.I have plain Neosporin triple antibiotic ointment in my chickens eye that was pecked and injured. Not everyone has access to a vet, or the money for a visit. Terramycin eye ointment from a feed store is my first choice, but you cannot get that in some states. Neosporin ophthalmic ointment is what a vet would prescribe, and it is about $30-35 from my vet. But for a chicken I have had good luck using topical Neosporin. It is up to you.

Oh, okay!Terramycin is what vets recommend. It is oxytetracycline and sterile for eyes, and available without a prescription. I said I used non-prescription Neosporin, because I can’t get Neosporin eye ointment without a vet visit.
