Hey, I wanted to hop on here and see if anyone could help me figure out what is going on with my hen.

She is maybe 2 years old short and stout.
We recently built a new coop for our hens but they haven't been using it as they have gotten in the habit of sleeping outside. It's just gotten cold where I an so I have started to take them into there coop every night by hand.
Yesterday as I was moving the hens I noticed one that had a white lump on the bottom of her foot. I am almost certain that it isn't bumblefoot as I have delt with that before and it has no scab.
It is a quarter inch long and white in colouration directly on the pad of her foot. It seems to be directly attached to the skin.

She is eating, drinking and walking fine. She isn't droopy and has no limp.

I have no idea what it is or how I can treat it.
If you have any ideas please share them.
I will try to post a photo of it today.
Thanks!

Welcome To BYC!

It would be hard to even take a guess without photos! :pop

Here are the photos of her foot. Upon looking at it today I suspect that it may just be a weird foot callus from roosting. She got into the habit of roosting out side on a metal fencing pole. I'm not 100% sure though

:eek::eek::eek:
:bowPleeeeeeeeeeeease... you MUST soak that in warm soapy water and then take another round of pictures!

It would be almost impossible for her body to have produced a “callus” that is shaped like that!

It has to be something manmade imbedded in/or stuck to her foot.

Go forth! Examine more closely! Report back, quickly!
