She wolfed down her egg today. The penicillin isn't touching this infection though. Cyn - if I get the Cipro, how many mg do I get? I'm seeing 250mg and 500mg. Do you know the dosage I give her?

Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook has three suggestions:

20-40mg/kg twice a day
20mg/kg twice a day
10-15mg/kg twice a day

I'm sorry, Kelly, I don't even recall the dosage that Doc sent me. That was years ago and he sent it in an envelope, not a bottle, just said how many tablets to give Zane per day, but I just don't know what the dosage was.

It might be easier to use liquid Baytril instead.

Just thought I should mention that I don't know much about Cipro except that it's in the same class of antibiotics as Baytril.
