Thanks everyone for your prompt replies. Although we are sad that she is actually a he, and that we'll have to find a home for him when he starts crowing, we are glad to have the mystery solved, and can now better appreciate his rooster qualities (I guess we should have been tipped off when we started thinking "she" was transgendered, LOL).
