Hens head is all balled and don’t know what to do. (Not an emergency)

So we just grabbed this cage. But I don’t know if I should put the rooster in it, or the hen! I also feel so bad for them, because they will be stuck in this tiny corner for a whole week!

It’s like a 3x3 or less cage.

Ok, but will he be fine in a tiny corner for a week?
He will be fine in there for a week. He probably won't be happy about it but he will be fine. Just be sure to secure his water container so he cannot spill it and then end up without water as well as his food dish. He would be likely to spill his water dancing around in frustration wanting out that's why it's important to secure it.

Ok, I think that I’ll just leave the cage in there, with no one in it, and then I’ll tell the person who’s watching the chickens, that if they see that the hen is getting bloody at all, then put her in the cage. I don’t think that it will get that bad in only a week. Because in a whole month, he only ripped a little bit of feathers out. But I’m not sure. Does this idea sound ok?

No, it does not sound okay. That hen is going to be bleeding soon. You are asking the petsitter to do what you should have already done. Put Mr. Rooster in the pen with enough food and water for two or three days. The petsitter can probably pour food and water from the roof of the pen and not have to open it up.

As 21hens wrote, he won't be happy about it but he will okay.

Ok wow! I put the rooster in the cage for the week with food and water bowls secured in. Hopefully he doesn’t crow non-stop and make the neighbors want to shoot the thing! 😂 lol! 😆 thank you everyone!
