Hey Stacey -

Porter Calling - I hope that you guys stay safe. We are hunkered down and ready for what ever comes our way.

As of the 9:20 PM this evening, our Weather Guy states that we will have 75-110 mile hour winds with 15-10 inches of rain on the dirty side.

I sure wish we could have gotten our hands on a window A/C unit this evening. I have a gut feeling we are going to be out of power for some time.

We were thinking we might have to go and get one ourselves. When Rita came through, my husband had a coworker that lent us one. It was a blessing after 4 roasting days without A/C. We also stocked up on gas for our generator. We may have a chance tomorrow to go and get one since Lowe's in Livingston didn't seem to have a lot going on today. I've got everything picked up in my yard, I just need to secure a few birds outside that are in cages I don't feel comfortable leaving them in, but will put them in our storage shed.

Good thing I decided not to start the incubator this weekend! I just have the eggs in the turner right now so I won't forget to turn them while in the carton.

I guess I'll have to remember if we do lose electricity.

Thanks for the happy wishes redfeather and little horse. Today is DH and mines 11 anniversary. little horse where are you from me we are in Centerville? Hope every one is ready. The cars on Interstate 45 are at a stop now and it's 2am. What will daylight bring?
