ok, I still got eggs pipping...1 has already died. It died during zipping. It was my broody's egg. Maybe I killed it when I check in on her... I feel terrible. I am still waiting for the eggs to finish their hatching so I can get pictures. Hubby is at the post office getting my eggs today... This is the absolute lasst time... I can not hatch anymore eggs...

Day 11. Just candled because some of those eggs were concerning me (Yes, I know I said I wouldn't open the Bator again

24/35 growing nicely - Yoooohooo!!! (one of them I'd put in the wrong way round ... I know both ends looked pointy - go figure!!! So I turned the egg around and prayed blessing over that little egg

My husbands been in the hospital for a week, so have not checked the eggs. I finally got to candle yesterday at day 14. There were 5 clears out of 31. Much better than my last shipped eggs. I can barely see anything thru the shells though. I wish I could see veining and movement, but all I see are dark and light areas. I have mostly marans and a few americauna eggs. I can't wait for lockdown. I have help coming tomorrow to finish my coop so that I can move my 22 six week old chicks out of the brooder... To make room for my new babies. Start sending those Picts for all of you hatching this weekend. So excited for you!

So sorry to hear about your husband Fam - that's awful!!! I hope he's doing better

Exciting to hear about your success - that's wonderful. Yup, I candled today at day 11 and all my OE's were completely dark - can't see through anymore. Post pics when your coop is finished. Lots of us incubating Marans - that's awesome

I keep asking myself that. With last hatch failure I was sure I was not going to hatch more this year. And I don't know what happended I ended up with eggs from a swap and buying some more. Of the 28 eggs I have in the battor I saw development in 16 and in the other 12 are a few unknown. Amer eggs....I am

. This should be the last hach of shipped eggs of the year....LOL at least I hope so...

Got home from work and I have 1 pipping. Just put them in lockdown last night.

I still have 2 weeks! When I first found out it only took 21 days for a chick to develop in an egg, I thought "wow, that is pretty fast" . Lol, now I don't think it is fast enough!

LISA hope you have a coop going or done as thats really when yu think it was too fast...seems like they always are getitng really big and i am still working on the coop!! 4-5 wekes goes FAST.

Hoping you get more than 3. I just put my 6 week old chicks outside today in their new run. Haven't finished the coop yet so I put a tarp over one half of the run and pallets around the outside for added protection. I am a nervous wreck. They were getting too big for the brooder and had to get outside. Supposed to stay in the 70's tonight so at least it won't be too cold for them.

Hahaha..that was me last wek!!! Dang coops gotta satart um when you put the eggs in at LEAST...i never do! always seems there enough time...never is!!!My poor little gus had to put a light inwith them last night and yesatrday got so chilly 60s and 50's!!! thye KLPOVED the light and now thye have been inthe coop for over 24 hours .well they needed to get use to it so i didnt have to catch them to put them in it each night!!

The last couple of days are the worse!!! Time seems to stand still and if you think you are checking the bator every hour now just wait it will be double that as it gets closer...LOL.

Heck last 3 days... I DO check the bator every hour....if i am being lazy.... usually its about every15 minutes!! Wear a path

Your sounding like me - I just HAD to buy a pnuematic nailer to make my coop. Just finished the brooder - now on to the next one!

Al lthe dang screws i have bought probably could have bought a nailer!!LOL
