HERE WE GO AGAIN Anyone SETTING Aug 30th - Sept 8th join me!!

I went onto ebay and bought 10 scientific thermometers for $20. I use them for hatching and my homemade soaps and just love them. The only drawback is that they are in Celcius but after using them I find it much easier to read than Fahrenheit thermometers. I have calibrated them all and every one of them was dead on.
thanks! I found these, are they similar??

My eggs did not show up again even though the post office website said they should be here today. They are blessed where ever they are! I imagine I will get them in the morning.

Hope they show soon & all are good

My eggs came today so I will be hatching along with you all. I will put them in the incubator tomorrow morning... 24 buff brahma and 10 LF cochin. I have read all that I can on here about how to set up the incubator so I am going with my gut feeling. Will be praying that I get something to hatch in 21 days.

I don't want to highjack the thread, but the description calls them partial immersion thermometes, does that mean they have to be submerged to read accurately?
No. I just lay them between the eggs so that the bulb part is even with the center of the eggs. These are a long thermometer-11" in length. I don't know what kind of incubator you have but just wanted to make sure it fits.

Just wanted to update: Day 7 just candled my 12 blk. australorps and I see 11 very active little ones -

that they all make it!

As for the 20 bantam cochins - waiting for a few - once again I freak out when I see the temp go down to 98 for a few minutes & the humidity down to 20. So cover back on & I'll wait until it goes back up or wait until tomorrow.

At this point I am just very excited about the viable eggs that were shipped, I almost can't believe it.

I really really really want the cochins BAD, not only because I paid way way way more for them but because these are what I want to add to my current 6 and breed, so I hope the outcome is just as good.

Wish I could take pics but once again I freak out too much to take the time.

Wow! That is great news about your candling. I will be candling mine tomorrow on day 7. I have been counting down the hours all day. I hope I have a better result than I did with my shipped eggs last time.... We will see tomorrow
