I don't lockdown 'til Saturday 21st for the Sabelpoots and the 29th for the Pekins. This hatch seems to be going so slowly!

One of my Polish chicks from my previous hatch (3 weeks ago) has got a lot of hardened poop on one of his feet. Any ideas as to how I can soften and get rid of this for him/her? My fault for not noticing and dealing with earlier. Thanks :/

Hey there Wesh! I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering how things were going for you! Yay!!

I would soak the foot is warm water - the poop will come off really easily after a little soaking:lol:

So glad & excited to hear about the pipping & hatching going on.

I know have 9 austalorps & two bantam cochins - still have "some" hope for 1 more australorp & 2 more BC but my gut is telling me doesn't look good but I am hoping to be surprise. Midnight tonight will be day 21, so I will give them a couple more days.

Plan to take pics after I get a few more hrs. sleep, been a long 48hrs.& then I got the call at 6am from PO on the 9 starters. Got them settled in grow out pen. So, this momma hen needs to catch up on her z's.

Hope to see other's pics when I check back in

How do I know you ask...I hear it under her chirping away and I did manage to pull up a wing and see another egg pipping so it is going to be a very fun day around these parts of Georgia.

SO HAPPY FOR ALL OF US AS GOD BRINGS NEW LIFE INTO THE WORLD RIGHT BEFORE OUR EYES.

Happy pipping, zipping, and hatching ya'll. ~ Cindy

Soak his foot in warm water for a few minutes and then gently rub off with a paper towel or something similar.
