HERE WE GO AGAIN Anyone SETTING Aug 30th - Sept 8th join me!!

Overoberyl aren't they? I don't think I would ever have anything else except my Broke Beak, a Mille Fleur D'Uccle, that is a pampered little girl. Silkies are so sweet and kind and the Roos are even nice. My Cockerel is just a big hunk of love. They are just fluffy cotton balls floating around the yard.
What is the egg production like? I know they go broody quite a bit (or so I have heard)...

okay quick PICS! We'll have a real photo sessions in a few days

Oh my are they precious!!!

As of 6:30pm my 3 Araucana eggs are officially in lockdown. I candled all 3 - aircells look good and chicks are right where they should be. Now the nail biting begins. I swear the last 3 days never get any less stressful no matter how many hatches you've done.

Geewiz!!!! Time has just FLOWN by!!!! I think I'm more addicted to hatching chickens alongside y'all!!! Sooooooo fun

Thanks all. I would say it feels nice to be able to relax a little but as you know, now I'll be a worried mom making sure all eat/drink etc. Honestly though, I do believe I'm taking a break for a few months from the hatching.

Can't wait to see more pics coming through from everybody.

I have always left them upright. They don't get knocked around as much. I've read where the hatched chicks will roll an egg so that the pip ends up being downward and the chick inside died. Roxanne was this you?

yes that did happen my last hatch.
Reading on here though i think ppl have luck hatching both ways but yes they can kill some rolling them.
