Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Yes! He's doing just that! And it seems like he's nibbling at the membrane also. I'm so excited! And I already told the little fellow that he has to make it, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!

Chickn, this is excellent news!! You did great getting that membrane open and cleaned up. He will do this for a long time... but I hope you give us hourly updates... and pics too!!

Main thing to watch for now is the membrane turning white... instead of clear.

ETA: If all goes well, this will still probably take another 24 hours to hatch.

Goosed... no!!  Your baby internally pipped on schedule and has been making steady progress!

FYI, after the baby internally pips, he will not only go through an internal process of switching on the lung system, but also he is eating the inner membrane while the blood veins that flow through that membrane recede into body.  There is a lot going on inside that egg for a good 24 hours between internal and external pip.

Ok. I wont look then. I wouldnt want to do anything to cause harm thats for sure!
Its wiggling around more now. I cant hear anything but i dont have a steth either. And im sure i wouldnt be able to hear it without one

Has anyone tried putting goose eggs under a broody chicken. My black copper maran has gone broody once again and I just set 6 more sebbie eggs I got in the mail yesterday was thinking about letting her have 2 or 3 and see if she could hatch them for me with better luck since I really want these babies. If you have tried have you had any good luck doing that. My chicken has no eggs at the moment so no issues with chicks hatching sooner then the gooslings. Or should I not take the chance with such expencieve important eggs.

Chikn looks good, I agree with Iain post updates and photos too.

I was outside planting trees and watering all of goslings again. Came in to a goslings coming out the side of the shell not the top. Silly thing, glad I looked when I did, stopped the bleeding and moved it to the hatcher since it was still in my transition bator.

So we have 3 internally pipped, 1 that internal and external lipped at once through the side of the shell. 1 turning to internal pip. 2 more to transition from cabinet to transition bator and wait for them to turn and pip. Rinse and repeat.

Lop, my goose eggs are too precious to hope a chicken will ride it out and hatch them for me.

Chikn, yes! They take naps in between eating membrane and preparing for next phases in long hatching process. So long as the breathing looks steady and strong, you are doing good.

My humidity has dropped to 70%. What should I do to get it up if I'm not supposed to open the bator? All water troughs are full, I have 2 sponges plus a sock in there! Whats funny is the cooker stays pretty consistent at 35% and I don't add water or anything.

The lil guy is still bumping around in there

Geez, Celtic... that is what one of my toulouse babies did, as you probably recall. Hope everything else goes smoothly with all seven!
