Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Holy moly! I know you guys have got to be exhausted after all that today. I feel like such a weenie for worrying over my hatch the other day...
I really hope everyone makes it ok!
When are we settin tge erijn eggs? Im about to candle them. They have been resting all afternoon. Fixing to set my marans.

I'd like to set them tomarrow afternoon, so they can rest upright for 24 hours.

I will set them in the morning. I would set them tonight, but after opening up my 5 Cayuga eggs, I am too tired to weigh and mark all the eggs. I will take a pic so you can see the upright eggs in my LG.

I am blown away all five look to be gaining strength. I had given up on a couple of them, but kept them in the bator because I figured I would do an eggtopsy after the madness settled down.

Iain, when I was looking at my post pics, I noticed (like you suggested) that a membrane was kreeping over nasal pasages. I went ahead and wet q-tipped to push back the membrane a bit.

While I was at it, I took a good peek and a pic of Eriins Toulouse.

He still has some yolk, but he is over halfway there from where he begun.

Oh my!! And they all were perfect, I checked all twice...about the air cells... 3 of my girls have went broody so I'm putting whatever everyone else lays under them..they are just happy little clams. I'm glad they did,, now I don't have to incubate..lol I will keep you all posted on what hatches out here..I'm not sure how many under the girls..2 are nesting beside each other, had to take the tire out..before they broke the eggs, robbing them. The other on took over the dog house I put in the pen, as an extra house to lay in....she has pulled out her feathers and fluffed all the straw and is sitting on a tire size nest..silly goose!

My moms likes a small semi-confined spaces too. Two shared an old camper topper, one an old small brooder house, and another liked it under a rambling rosebush. Do count your eggs, and it'll be interesting to see how your incubating process works! I bet money you won't have many shrink wrap issues.

Very cool Marty. I have found the the membrane kind of stretches before tearing and causing any harm, but it sure makes it easier for them to breathe.

Your Toulouse is looking good!!

All my cayugas are looking better each time I check on them, especially my twisted baby that I had to find head under yolk sac to pull out. I declared that one dead twice today, and now it is on the more promising list. Amazing!
