Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Spirit is the one tugging on the stuffed animal up top. Here is a close up of her from earlier today:

Celtic, Barley is 4 weeks old today and putting on the pounds! His keels are already showing and they are very nice and even.

Celtic, I am keeping an eye. He is getting measured twice daily feedings of mazuri maintenance (16%) & purina start n grow (18%), instead of free choice. He gets to go outside almost every day for a short time for grazing and I also make sure he gets his exercise when he goes out. I think he is just going to be one of those chunky monkeys at full size. I hope he will be quite the looker. (assuming it is a "he" lol).

How old are your buffs now? What day are your buff eggs on?

Buff eggs are in the middle of hatching, two visible beaks so will see what they do over night. The buff goslings are 1- gander 1-goose 2 weeks old, 2-geese 1 week old. They are outside all day from 7 am until 7-7:30pm. They get food with them over night, no food outside just grass. All of the goslings follow this routine starting around day 5-7 on.

Seems like most of the dewlaps can externally pip and make a large hole, but get stuck somewhere in the zipping mode. But, I have no reason to believe you won't have two more buff babies tomorrow!!

aaa, thanks!! I think she's the cutest one in the bunch!!

Wow, Barley is growing fast! Its the buff dewlap from carloles eggs, right? Do you have a pic of Erins toulouse? I'd like to see them.

I will get pics tomarrow, if I can. I'm way behind on pics all around. In the last 10 days I've hatched all manor of wee winged beastie, but only a few pics of the goslings, even though the khakis are cute, and the americaunas and lone BCM are cute.

Celtic, can we think about some BCMs and maybe muscoveys ducklings togather for the beginning of June?

Well, I'm tickled to report that I've come home today to 3 more buffs and 1 gray dewlap. Everyone who made it too lockdown hatched, and I had to help only a little. The last three were the assisted bunch, and they are in 4 x 4 boxes under heat until they've got their feet under them good. They don't seem to be flippers, but they are still under observation until they are a day old.

So, out of the 11 goose eggs I was hatching, 7 made it. Now, I've got 3 sebbies in the bator, and 2 show spiders, so I'm almost done with my hatches. Thank goodness! And, the 4 that hatched today, are sort of going to be hubbies, since ITS HIS BIRTHDAY and he dug up the pond again for the dewlaps, so I'll at least give him the lone gray. Luna (Erins gray) is a girl, so if the other is a boy, he'll have a toulouse pair, even though not pure dewlap. I don't really want to give up my buffs!

Glad to see how much you've gotten done on the farm, celtic.

Dora.. Squishy's Girl Friend at 2 weeks..

Sue, love the pics!! Baby is beautiful!!

Marty, Got a couple action shots for ya, but none of him posing. He loves to get fired up swimming in pool, then run huge circles around yard, which often gets Barley going too.
