YEP! I moved number five to the brooder with the others, the sixth one just hatched about a half hour ago, and the seventh one is working on his hole right now!!! The other two don't even have cracks or pips......when I went to bed last night I noticed a small crack in the seventh one last night....wasn't sure I even saw a crack....but sure enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so fun..........

WOWEE!!!!!!!!!! You are having a miraculous hatch rate!!!! What are you going to do with all these babies?!?!?! Plan on dropping a pair off at my place?

Iain....you want a couple? LOL

I am going to put them on KSL, but the question is.....which ones????? I am trying to decide if I want to try my hand at sexing them. But, again, the wimp that I am.......I am scared to try. I don't want to hurt them. I watched the video at Metzer after I read comments about how much it helped them, so I may be able to do it. And, if I am successful at it....do I want to keep all boys, all girls, or two girls and one boy. I have heard the mating with geese isn't as bad as with ducks, which is my LEAST favorite part about owning ducks, BY FAR!

So, we are up to seven babies now.....I candled the last two eggs.....one is definitely still alive and kicking, and one I am pretty sure is dead. Do I just wait now..............or what??

Amazing success!!!

If they were buff dewlaps... then YES. You should not have any problems selling a few on ksl. I'd keep a breeding trio, though. It is not like ducks. Breeding season is very short.

The one time I tried to vent sex a suspected 3 day old boy, I was able to get it right. But, I've only tried that one time since my special needs gosling needs regular vet check ups, it has been easier for me to drag the crew there and my vet has not charged me any extra to vent sex the goslings I bring.
