Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Celtic, can't wait for pics!!

Erin, fyi, I have calls and emails out to various dewlap egg sellers on my "wish" list to try to get a few eggs to coordinate setting with your eggs. It may take a few days, but I'm working on it!

Well, I only liked the super dark eggs she had pics of. I wouldn't mind something that lays nice dark dark eggs. I guess Ideally I'd have ducks and a few chickens laying me a rainbow to look pretty in my kitchen! I don't really need any so-so layers though. They gotta be good and sitting or something.

Erin, today is day 21 for your toulouse baby. I candled, weighed and marked air cell line. I saw nice movement and veining inside, a perfect air cell, and it has lost 23 grams (set at 197g), so it is on perfect target for 14-15% weight loss.

Okay, keep me posted, it is offical she is broody, I penned her off and put eggs under her....Next month I should have babies, as long as she stays on them, she is a first yr brooder.....go girl go!!!!

My Sebostopol eggs got here this morning!! I am so excited. I have been letting them rest. Will put them in tonight. This is my first attempt at goose eggs, so wish me luck. I may be asking a lot of questions. I want to do everything just right. I am so addicted to hatching eggs. I have Cayuga duck eggs being delivered tomorrow. I have 15 chicks already hatched and a incubator full of just chicken eggs with all different hatch dates. Ok.."..so here is my first question.....do you all take the eggs out starting on the 4th day and cool them for 15 min. And spray them with room temperature water?

Congrats, vicki! You are in the right place. Celtic is our sebbie hatching specialist!!

I cool down regularly, but only mist when necessary, if the egg is not losing enough weight to reach target 14-15% loss.

Where did you get your cayugas? I have cayugas too, and love them!

I got them from pidgey104. I do believe she is still selling them. She only charges $20.00 and that includes shipping. I have never hatched ducks either and I can't wait!
