Iain, whats going on with the toulouse baby? Got an internal pip yet? I've been waiting and hoping for it and you

I think it internally pipped, but there is too much background noise for me to be sure I am hearing the sounds from the bator. I will be able to listen closely in the morning. Every time I check on it, it is moving well. Am too tired from the Cayuga hatch and distracted by molasses to be paying too much attention, which is a good thing.

How are your goslings? Are you loving them??

Marty, yes horse stalls make great over night housing for geese. Make sure the doors on the barn are secure against predators. You will need seperate stalls for each breed, otherwise no one will get any sleep when the ganders start bickering.

The Sebastopols will need direct access to housing even when outside during the day. If a storm pops up or it gets too windy they may seak shelter. Always give them the option to get out of the weather since they can chill and won't shed water off their feathers.

Love hatching eggs, and really like your bator. Didn't you post plans for this on hatch day is today?

I think he did... Jerry desined it for me. incubator on top and hatcher on bottom. and it fits through our 23 inch door

Marty, I did not get a surprise egg... I got surprise eggs, ie, I got 6 extra dewlaps, when I only paid for 4. I will be curious what surprise she sends you!

Goslings were fine, human baby started running a fever and was sleeping on me.


Next round of eggs may lock down tonight they are very active this morning.

Should have a box of eggs to pick up today, except they aren't from Carole! She is proving to be unreliable with these eggs. She filled a private order before the eBay auction I won. Delayed my eggs a day, no big deal. Then claimed I hadn't paid when I had and did it as soon as she invoiced me. Then she didn't send the, again because she "didn't hear from me". So now the eggs she collected this week will sit all weekend at her house before she sends them to me. So I won't get them until Wednesday and will be setting older eggs instead of fresh eggs. So tempted to cancel them and ask for a refund, don't need to toss money away on eggs she didnt ship on time.
