Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Julie, to me the beak looks like the canadian pics Celtic just posted. My toulouse babies do not have the extreme points on the sides of beaks like the pics of your baby.

I vote Canada goose. Just updated with all three breeds. Now if it is a C goose you need proof of where it came from (if captively raised parents laid it) or you could find trouble with the state DNR/Fish and Game. If its from a wild nest, well they can't be kept legally as Canada geese are protected.

For what it is worth, this is what I would do. Take 6oz glass of water and add 1 drop polyvisol and a dash of sugar. Offer the water mix to the weak one using a soup spoon every 1-2 hours.
Paulla got him out of hatcher we both held him for a few minutes now he got full of life and making alot of noise and he drank a little and he is up and looks like a drunken sailer just needed to bond and now want alot more

Here are pictures of Canada geese showing the beaks clearly. Notice how they scoop downwards, almost a crescent shape where the bill meets the head.

African goslings - notice the diamond/triangular up point in the middle where the beak meets the head

And Toulouse. Notice the straight across beak where it meets the head

I think you all are right. Just put the week old calls in for company for her, and they are about the same size. My embdens were much bigger.

They all look happy now. Hoping she decides she likes it here and stays this fall.
