Fred has babies and more in the hatcher..... I had to move them .... plan to giver her back all the little ones when the last ones hatch

Here is the new sebbie.

She is a healty cheerful thing, but her eyes have a puffiness and seem to want to be closed. Had a dewlap with that, and I rinsed with gentle salt water solution, and rinsed with clear water. It was better overnight, and I hope the same for the new baby.



Shes dried, and is a bit more greyish on her back now. She wasn't so fluffy this morning though.

Shes camping out with the lone grey dewlap. He's about half the size of all the others, even though he was only a day later to hatch. I don't know why he's tiny, but now I know he'll have plenty of food and water without a group to contend with. I figured in a few monthes, I'd want them both to know they are geese, so I'm keeping them with othere geese.


Glad your baby is coming along. I'm sure she'll be dandy soon.

Very glad to hear that! I know what you mean. We are getting ready to move our two ducks who have been raised with geese ro the duck coop. It is time for them to be with other ducks and for barley to be with her new buff buddies.
