Awesome advice. Just fixed my chick's hernia with the aid of this thread and post. Here hoping it makes it through the night. ThanksMy bandages were too wide, so I had to cut it in half...lengthways.
The idea is to use the bandaid to keep the hernia in while keeping everything else out. But the chick still has to poop. So I had the band aid ready in an X for when I had replaced the hernia. If you place it like I have in the pics...the bandaid securely covers the hernia and hole AND it still leaves the anus open so the chick can poop.
I used an tiny bit of Polysporin antibiotic cream, mine doesn't have the lidocane with it. I placed the tiny pea sized amount on the bandaid X so it was to use with one hand.
