Enjoy the information, we have an automatic door because of this board. Jan is the chicken lady, I am the message boarder and I am not sure she will do more than lurk, but we shall see. I will try and get an avatar for her at least. We have 8 chickens, 2 cats and 1 dog.

Like kenalo, this board has so far answered most of my questions until I actually have some chickens or ducks. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait until I move next year.

Hello chicken Lovers!

I just got an email from "Nifty Chicken", who suggested I introduce myself, so here it is.

My husband and I purchased 12 laying hens last June, and have been enjoying sharing many eggs with others since then.
They have been worth the cost of keeping, providing us with a little entertainment too.
