I'm too old to lurk. I just enjoy all the great advice and information, particularly on the treats that my 42 chicks always demand! This is a great site that I value. I guess iI'm just lazy,

Nifty sent me an email basically asking me why I joined, but never posted.
Well, I don't have any chickens...yet. As soon as I get some other projects done and the snow stops falling, I'm going to start on my coop. I'll build it in the garage and then move it to wherever the wife and I agree on.
I don't plan on having any more than 4 chickens.
I've learned a lot from BYC already and as soon as I get my chickens, I'll have a LOT of questions. I'll ask so many questions that you folks will wish I was lurking instead of posting.

Maybe for now, I'll build a chicken igloo.
 
Hello all. I,ve also been nudged into action by Nifty' E-mail. I've been lurking for about two years. I have had chickens off and on all my life. Currantly have a small flock of 11 brown egg layers and one BR rooster. They were bought from MMM hatchery. They were hatched June 7, layed their first egg on November 1 and have been laying 8 to 11 eggs a day for the last month. I really enjoy this site and am spending way too much time on it.
