Hey Gang! Whatcha think of my plans and Rooster issue?

This is the one with the "injured" eye or it might be part of the possible avian pox breakout?

My Legbar Roo, Bullet

This one has it the worst, my Isbar Roo, Scatman

My speckled sussex roo, Atticus

Scatman again

Bullet, this is the best picture of it....notice how it sticks out from the back of his comb like a wart...and he even has it on his wattles....

Awww poor guy!!! I hope they can be saved. I will have to look this up. I feel really bad for you too.

yeah, me too Tony....just hoping they don't develop the wet kind.....busted my butt cleaning everything at the coop today....just trying to get the flies under control....put out fly bait/lure in jugs, hung 8 fly strips, etc.....just tired....

Thought I would update....my flock is getting better/looking better. They still act like they feel okay. The number of bumps on the worst ones has diminished a good deal. I spoke with a poultry specialist and he told me to go ahead and vaccinate that it would not kill my chickens. So now I've got to get the stuff to do this. He told me that it can be transmitted by mosquitoes and flies and he thinks gnats (southern thing)....and we have plentiful supplies of all of those.

I received in the mail yesterday my first eggs ever to attempt to hatch. I have 5 cream legbar and 4 isbar....wish me luck, as I totally do NOT now what I am doing. I read on BYC last night til my eyes crossed and took the brochure on the incubator to bed with me...maybe I absorbed some info thru sleep osmosis! LOL! But, I am excited about trying this.
