Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

What do you have in the fridge/freezer Liza? We love coming up with ideas here on this thread.

I have 1/2 a cow in the freezer and about 20 lbs of homemade sausage and in the fridge I have left over pinto beans...salad stuff....yoguart and lots of eggs!

I have lots of stuff we canned but don't really want to open any.....guess I'm saving for a rainy day!

Lots everyone for any help!

Sausage sandwiches with pintos and salad would be quick. Pinto/beef chili would take a little bit longer as would a soup with some of those ingredients.

There's always breakfast for supper - which is our Wednesday standby. Doesn't take long to whip up some scrambled eggs and toast. If any of that sausage is breakfast-y, that could go with.

Or, a quick quiche.

Huevos rancheros.

Breakfast burritos.

Chef Salad

Anyone else with ideas?

My friend in Italy has checked in ..he is okay ....but others nearby were not so fortunate. His power and internet and everything is just very limited (I suspected this, after the '89 quake here ..we had the same issues).

I have a huge lump in my throat ..I'm just so very glad he was spared and shown God's grace....

Count your blessings, folks!

Black and blue burgers tonight (blue cheese stuffed burgers) topped with bacon, mushrooms and sauteed onions on a toasted Kaiser roll ... not real creative.

Potato chips and a pickle rounded it all out!

Aneesa - I'm glad your friend is safe! He and all of those affected are in our prayers.

we were busy with my boyfriend this afternoon and didnt have time to cook so when we went to the local place for a quick lunch I got some fried chicken to go and when i got home I made mashed taters and baked beans to go with it. I cant cook every night but if I make it 4 nights a week Im happy. Im craving something sweet, may have a little fruit before bed.

Glad your friend in Italy is ok. My sister took some pictures of beautiful old cathedrals when she was there and some of them are now gone, its so sad.
