Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

That's funny--my honey does the same thing! He grills meat--and to him, that's "cooking dinner". Makes me wonder why I'm going through all this effort?

OK, this is a guy thing. Mine does that too.

Tonight was a taco bake I made up as I went along....layered the following

Crushed tortilla chips
Cooked ground beef with onion and Mexican seasoning
Sour cream
Can each plain diced tomatoes and Rotel with cilantro and lime
More crushed tortilla chips
Shredded cheese
Olives

layered in my trusty cast iron skillet and baked 375 x20 min. Topped with more sour cream and guacamole. Everyone liked it but Sugar Monkey--he thinks canned tomatoes are of the devil. I've tried explaining I'm not buying fresh tomatoes in winter, he just don't get it

Sugar monkey needs a trip to the store. We should be getting some out of homestead soon, but they go at a premium price until everyone else's come in.

I suppose tonight is spaghetti night - with can tomatoes, you bet!

We were at the greenhouses boxing up plants for a shipment until way after dark....I Burger King-ed it.
I feel so ashamed.
I have to do better tonight. I need to go thaw something- whoa-ho. Eggs! The wonderful edible egg! yea, That's it! Bacon, pancakes, and eggs!
Gotta love the girls.

Breakfast for dinner is often a lifesaver, especially cause you don't have to thaw anything!

We had pulled pork, potato salad and carrots cooked with the roast.
