Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

A scramble with potatoes, onion, peppers, garlic, sausage, eggs and topped with cheese. Leftover peas. ice cream.

Sugar Monkey has a choir concert tonight and since I have MommyGuilt over not being able to go (counts are too low to be around that many people) I took him to Burger King (his choice!) for dinner. Honey and Big Boy will have shredded beef taco/burrito things when they get back from cutting firewood.

Apples are sitting on the table, just mocking me.

It will be stuffed pork chop with gravy, mashed potatoes, fried garlic/zucchini, and a lettuce/mozzarella/heirloom tomato salad. No apple crisp.

C'mon Rachel.

OK, I was here on BYC instead of 'watching' supper. I got scolded for slightly burning the zucchini - that is until we ate them. The slight 'scorching' gave them a taste that I will probably never be able to duplicate.

I did the same thing once with spaghetti sauce - everyone loved the unusual 'smoky' taste - can we all say BURNT.

I do that all the time--we call it blackened and say it's trendy!

We cooked weenies and marshmallows on the bonfire, and also roasted new potatoes. Pumpkin roll for dessert.
