Of course cheeseburgers

With shrooms and onions, Swiss cheese and avocado. Zucchini chips on the side to round out our veggies cause I didn't have any more lettuce or tomato.

Sounds nearly perfect!

Last night we grilled a strip steak, served with a melange of roasted veggies (potatoes, carrots, brussel sprouts, and cauliflower - so yummy), and a green salad.

A year or so ago I made up freezer to crockpot meals. Pulled one out yesterday labeled Hawaiian Chicken and tossed it in the slow cooker. Apparently it was chicken breasts, carrots, zucchini and pineapple. I can't recall putting any sauce or seasoning on the bag, it's been a long time. I just cooked it on high for a few hours, then down to low. Shredded the chicken and served with Ramen for the carbers in the house. It actually came out pretty good! I may have to dig out some more of those, they should be used soon anyway as they're not in vacuum sealed bags, just baggies.

Tonight is pot roast with a lot of carrots. I have yams and butternut squash to be used also.

Love those surprise finds. If you don't have a vacuum sealer, I highly recommend them. It's really nice to able to stock up on meats when on sale and store them nicely.

Last night the wife and I went out to dinner, we had some delicious Miso Mushroom Soup, the Chef was kind enough to share the recipe with me (ok, it's on their website for anyone to use). I am making that for supper this evening. I wanted to try it at home right away to see if I can get it right, while we still remember.

Cooky baking is done.

Stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes, and green beans for supper. Man can not live on cookies alone.

Nor can woman. Trust me, I've tried

. Eventually you've got to have some real food.

Soon as the dishwasher is done, I'll make a pot of chili to have for lunches and nachos tomorrow night--that's our traditional Christmas Eve dinner

. Dinner tonight will probably be chicken broccoli casserole.
