Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Went out for burgers. Of course DD had to be difficult because she is 2 so she had mac and cheese. DS got to have a big burger though and was very proud. Sometimes it's easy to impress a kid. Little did he know the $6 burger and fry special today makes it cheaper than the burger option on the restaurant's kid menu.

Chicken Francais', noodles with cottage cheese, carrots and a salad - maybe broccoli also.
Chicken pot pie. Yeah, I know - Princess and I both bought pies on the same day. One from the Amish and one Trader Joe's.
The Trader Joe's pie was good, but the Amish pie was better.

Real home cooking is always better. I wish I lived closer to the Amish or Mennonite cummunities again. I use to love going to the stands and get what I didn't want to make (most all breads LOL).

T-bones tonight!
I stopped at the local butcher in our little downtown after taking DD to the coffee shop for hot chocolate and a cookie. I bought two T-bone steaks at 3/4 inch thick. All their beef is black angus raised on their own farm, aged 30 days and butchered in house. I plan to cook them in a cast iron for a good sear. Some butter melted on top and they'll be ready to eat.
I'm thinking fried potatoes and a tomato salad for the side.

Instead of fried potatoes and tomato salad I put in some work and made a butternut ravioli as a side dish. It went very well with the steaks. There's left over ravioli so I know what's for lunch tomorrow.
I also cut a bunch of pasta dough into fettuccine. There's the large nests/knots of fettuccine drying in the dehydrator.
