Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Good Wednesday morning.

You have all been eating well. I'm copying the recipes shared.
I cooked and cooked all weekend. And, when I wasn't cooking, seems I was canning. Saturday was our family reunion. Sunday we celebrated our youngest grandson 3rd birthday.

Monday I made Sloppy Joes and we had leftover potato salad.
Last night a comfort meal was needed. We enjoyed a beef roast with roasted potatoes and carrots. Also, corn. Leftover birthday cake for dessert.
Wednesday, I'm still thinking on it - no grandkids, but still canning so an easy meal in the crock pot (like yesterday's roast).

Last night we had pork tenderloin marinated in lemon and garlic, rice, and outback's sauteed shrooms.

I think I may make a quiche or something like that tonight- sausage, canadian bacon, colby-jack cheese, onions, eggs, garlic crust.

I'm just stopping by for ideas.

Monica, how do you make your garlic crust? I've been thinking about a zucchini pie or tomato pie and a garlic crust would be good.

Was making Zucchini Patties for the freezer so decided to have some dinner. So made a sandwich - Zucchini Pattie a couple of piece of bacon on top, fried egg on top of bacon and then another Zucchini Pattie. All nice and hot! Makes me hungry writing about it.

Not sure about tonight - may be home made Chicken Burritos.

im fixing meat loaf but dont know what else to fix with it. tomorrow is chicken n dumplins taters and green beans, corn bread and onion and sliced tomato. dd is coming in for the weekend from college

Hey all! Glad to hear you all are still making good stuff to eat! Life has been a bit busy for me and I haven't yet found my new rhythm with the kids back in school. Plus, I've been making a ton of soap and that has kept me busy as well.

Last night I made a pasta primavera with chicken and roasted veggies. The zukes, green beans, and tomatoes were from my garden.

Tonight is B4D, but I don't yet know what that will be. DS has gone to a Freshman retreat so it'll be fewer to cook for tonight.

Any word on your DGD, Monica?

How about Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguinon? It was GREAT with crusty cheese bread and fresh peaches cooked in sugar, butter and fresh squeezed orange juice. Pour the peaches over homemade crepes and add a spoonful of homemade whipped cream. It was a real hit

This Evening, I'm keeping things simple. We canned and froze 9 doz ears of sweet corn today. I picked out 12 nice cobs for the wood fired grill. I'm just having corn tonight.

Gotta Go.... It's on the grill....

Enjoy your day, this is as good as it gets.
