Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

I don't think I've ever had a Scotcheroo. What is that?

Basically it is just an Oatmeal cookie with butterscotch chips! The recipe is usually on the back of the bag of chips. Really yummy!!!

Sounds good! I'll have to try that sometime. I bet the kids would like it.

Tonight I'm making Asian Chicken, rice, and broccoli (if I can get to the store to get some).

We had McDonalds

it was RIGHT THERE next to Lowe's... owell.. good thing, it's 7:30, pitch black and I just got finished with straw-ing one run! No time to cook today at all!
Leftover sweet potato pie & whipped cream & vanilla ice cream to eat with our movie.

Midget White Turkey Breast
rubbed down with Olive Oil, Sea Salt, Pepper & Rosemary

Roasted at 425* for 20 min, then at 375* for 1 hr. Flipped over, breast down for 10 mins. Pulled out of oven and rested for 15 minutes and then carved.

Served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Leftover Stuffing and Amish White Bread

Made Leek/Carrot Curry soup and it was divine - if I don't say so myself! Our garden is done but we still have carrots going and they are giant but still so tasty and sweet. Checked my canning book this morning and going to make some chutney out of the rest of them so they don't go to waste. Plus the chickens LOVE the tops.

I'm interested in the pumpkin seed brittle too. I learned to make the best peanut brittle from my neighbor who has been making it for 25+ years and has a perfect recipe so light an airy and melts in your mouth.

Power was off for about 5 hours!! I decided on Pork chops cooked on the Foreman grill and Au Gratin Potatoes. I also made a creamy cucumber salad.
