Ya'll stop on the way and get some good gulf shrimp and I'll make Po' boys all around.

Grilled venison chops seasoned with garlic and rosemary, porcini mushroom and hubbard squash risotto. The rice was quite good but we both agreed it would have been better without the squash.

Finally, dessert. Not sure what to call this. A failed pound cake that got put in the freezer... Sliced thin and buttered, baked in an au gratin dish with white peaches, butter and pecans. Very, very delicious.

I'm going to bed now, tomorrow is a work day so I get to sleep late.

Just put a venison roast, stuffed with bacon, and a pork shoulder roast on the cooker. Will smoke all day with pecan wood. Baked potatoes, green beans and slaw to go with it.

I'm looking forward to supper!
