Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Ya'll stop on the way and get some good gulf shrimp and I'll make Po' boys all around.

Tonight it's venison steak on the grill.
Grilled potatoes.
Green beans.
Tomatoes.

Everything grown or hunted by me except the bacon I wrapped around the steak. Yummy!!!!

Grilled venison chops seasoned with garlic and rosemary, porcini mushroom and hubbard squash risotto. The rice was quite good but we both agreed it would have been better without the squash.

Started with a walnut/pesto bruschetta served on the deck. What a nice day we are having here. More to follow.

Cod with fra diavolo sauce and rice pilaf.

Finally, dessert. Not sure what to call this. A failed pound cake that got put in the freezer... Sliced thin and buttered, baked in an au gratin dish with white peaches, butter and pecans. Very, very delicious.

I'm going to bed now, tomorrow is a work day so I get to sleep late.

Last night: Curried Chicken Pasta & Broccoli

Then homemade banana pudding, not pictured. but YUM.. eating some now for breakfast!

Just put a venison roast, stuffed with bacon, and a pork shoulder roast on the cooker. Will smoke all day with pecan wood. Baked potatoes, green beans and slaw to go with it.

I'm looking forward to supper!
