when i was growing up, my mom was a drunk druggie,, i remember going through garbage cans for a scrap to eat,, i remember weeks with no food,, and i remember a old mexican lady in chicabee mas that would put food out for us, cause even at 8 years old i was to proud to take handouts.
my kids will NEVER go through that, and i wish my younger brother didnt have to,,,BUT i am glad (now) that i did,,,it taught me ALOT, and i learn from it every day,,and NOONE that i know of will go without food if im here,,when its time for me to have a big "cull" i used to go to the church with it,, but the people that went there for food did it cause they could,, not HAD to,, so now i just take em to the "bad part of town" find some scragly kids,, and take em to their parents.
we still have times when the fridge is pretty bare,, but i would STILL give it away,,i KNOW i could get food if i had to.
