Mike already knows this -- one of the two cockerel chicks I hatched from him is looking REALLY nice right now. Better than any of my cockerels, in both color AND type. And LOTS of testosterone. He's not quite two months old yet, and he's been crowing constantly for about the last week....

I'm jealously guarding my source. Nobody else gets Mike's eggs!

hey everyone
need some ideas i have a bunch of roosters i have tried everything to try to give them away no luck the way i cull would take for ever cause i have so many to do about 35 anyone have any idea how to make it quick and painless so i can do 10 15 at a time i hate doing this but run out of ideas on how to get rid of them

Tate, try advertising them on Craigslist or putting flyers in the feedstores.

..maybe put in the add that they are free but must go in groups of 5

I dunno.. that would really suck to have to cull that many roos just cause. Hopefully, some folks could take a few off your hands. Good Luck!! Also, the county fairs and chicken shows are great places to unload roos ..especially pretty mille fluer ones.

I'd found options drying up & took a load of our culls to a local agricultural auction. They went very well indeed.

At the auction were many birds, bantams, ducks, guineas etc. They all went.
