The Brinsea Mini Advance has temp alarms if the temp raises or drops! Of course, you have to be in the house when it goes off.... but if you aren't, and you go check it, it SHOWS that it had a temp alarm.
And, btw, I loaded 7 eggs into my Brinsea this morning. (That's how many it takes.)
My last hatch was also my FIRST hatch, and I have 5 adorable little olive eggers in the brooder right now that are 10 days old. The eggs in the 'bator right now are bantam cochins.
Due Monday, Sept 6th.
Well it sounds awesome besides the 7 egg capacity lol. I can't wait to have some olive eggers, I need to candle and find out if any of these eggs are still going. Fingers crossed. WHat breed mix are your olive eggers??

They always get over it, in fact your hubby might just become addicted to chickens too. Mine did. Here's praying that yours does to, lol.

I want this as my signature. LOL! You sound just like me.
I am half an hour away from 24 hours in. It was a bit rough in the beginning. well rough on me. Between 5 thermometers I could not find any that agreed. Things have settled down and it was all good after about the first 2 hours. Man oh man do I hope I get more than an ulcer from this. I have 18 eggs in.
I candled tonight & have found some of the large eggs I placed into the bator seem to be much more developed then the rest. Could this be a bad sign? Two eggs I can barely see anything ... lock down day nothing. This worries me !!!!
