Hi from new zealand! Questions about gender/sex link/breeds

I was wondering that too - he is a pretty big guy. He also had some black in him and some brown shaver feathers - in fact, quite similar to his fast feathering chick. I also thought leghorns were supposed to be massive, but he must be a mix with another large breed.

That’s what I deduced. I’m guessing you have one girl.

So - the wee barred looking chick has dark legs on the front - does that indicate a gender or is that just a genetic thing?

Thats a genetic thing, nothing to do with gender. His barring does though.

Hi, Im sure you have all boys..... your rooster isnt a Leghorn, he could be a white rock or a mix of breeds.
