Hi! My name is Hayley, and I started my little flock last Spring. Right now I only have a flock of three. My 2 hens are: my ameraucana, Pie, and my Jersey black giant, Purpee. And I have this very mean rooster that I need help with.
He is a bantam blue cochin named Pepe, and he was the sweetest little roo. I handled him a lot, and he always followed me.
A few months ago, he started running and jumping at my fiance, then my two 8-year-old sons. Now even every time I turn around, Pepe is darting at me and jumping in the air.
I may post about this in the swaps thread too, I just thought I'd tell about my little flock problems and see if I can find help!

Hello, Hayley, and welcome to BYC. Your rooster's disposition is very unlikely to change. You can modify it to some degree, but it sounds as if it is just the nature of the beast. With kids involved my inclination would be to find him a new home.
