two is a nice even number but 3 would be better. If you lose one, the remaining chick will be lonely. Chickens are flock animals and do better with others around them.

Indeed I plan on having close to 6 but the breeder ran out of splashes right now and thats the color I want at least majority of my flock to be hoping in spring the new chicks will come as I want to hand raise my flock too I get a much better bond that way

Hey the more chicken lovers the better, and well being new to chickens as Scara is my oldest chicken always great to get tips, and ideas from people for my chickens
