Hi everyone! This is my first post on BYC so please be kind to me. I will start by apologizing for the not-so-awesome pictures as it is just plain difficult to get a good picture of a moving chicken with only a 4 year old daughter to help

This is my first year with chickens (and a couple of turkeys) and I am loving it! But, this little one has me stumped so I was hoping you could help. I cannot figure out what breed and gender "Goliath" is. He is 19 weeks now. We were just given a Wyandotte rooster and he has manged to get his groove on with all the other chickens except this one. Does that mean that "Goliath" is also a rooster or perhaps just because of the size difference (does size matter)?

Also, he/she prefers to perch with the 'big' rooster outside the hen house in the run at night. Ideas anyone? Thanks in advance!

She's very pretty.

Welcome to BYC

I have a few hens that NONE of the roosters here are interested in. THEN they will all the sudden be interested. Your roo may not be doing his rooster thing with her yet, but she might only just be getting close to maturity. Almost point of lay, but not quite there... He'll probably get interested then. LOL.
