Hi! New to this forum. I have two ducklings, Muscovy, and I’d like to see if anyone can gender my duckling

My name is Lexi. I got two ducklings from a farm here in the MIA, and I’d like to see if anyone can help me find out if they’re male or female. I think they’re two different sexes, like one is a boy and one is a girl, but I’m not entirely sure.

Hello, Lexi, and welcome to BYC. Other than vent sexing, there is no way to gender ID Muscovy ducklings that are that young.

Dang ok. I thought so but I wanted to see if anyone could ID them anyway. I have a feeling they’re both boys but I’m hoping for a girl.

I heard vent sexing if done wrong can hurt them so I don’t want to risk it.

Welcome to BYC, Lexi. You are right, vent sexing can be dangerous, and is best left to professionals. Its alway hard to be patient. I'll cross my fingers that you have a male and a female. Good luck!
