Thank you so much !Welcome to BYC, Lexi. You are right, vent sexing can be dangerous, and is best left to professionals. Its alway hard to be patient. I'll cross my fingers that you have a male and a female. Good luck!
They are SO adorableHiya, Lexi, and welcome to BYC!Cute ducklings! Adorable actually!
I’m going to look at their feet in the morning and try to reply to this with pictures of their lil webbers tomorrow to see if we can tell! Thank you!Hiya!
I can't tell from the pictures, but does one have significantly larger feet than the other? If so, I would guess you had a boy and a girl on your hands. If their feet match in size, I'd guess the same sex, though I wouldn't be able to tell you which sex without watching them move and interact with the environment.
I can sex my ducks at a much younger age than most people on here say is possible via the feet, and so far it's been 100% accurate for me. Even when they match in body size at a young age, their feet tend to differ, and the bigger footed birds have always proven to be male. It is possible it's a quirk of my flock, I suppose, but it's something you could look at and see if it holds true for you, too.
