Hello Everyone, I am new here. Trying to navigate such a huge community group site is overwhelming! It is a comfort to know that if I have a problem or questions I can come here to get some answers. This is my first spring with chickens. We have five egg layers and they seem to be growing at the speed of light. We have 4 Buff Orpingtons and 1 Sex-link.

Congrats on getting your own flock.

I was also shocked at how fast those little babies grow - the early days are so much fun, but IMO the real surprises begin when you start to see the unique personalities of each one.

I love the BO's, but have only one remaining in my flock. But, be prepared for the broody episodes - 2 of mine were broody more often than I would have expected.
