My mother lost total vision in her eye from histo when she was a child. She lived on a farm and was in charge of cleaning the coops and collecting eggs.

Did she wear a mask? Is wearing a mask the ONLY preventative action? What else should I do?

She didn't wear a mask, this was many years ago. The Doctors said the histo could be on your hands and you could transfer it that way too. Wearing a mask and washing your hands....so important.

I’ve been living with my six chicks/pullets for eight weeks or so a couple (yes in my house) and I have crazy lesions all over my face…. And I just had Covid….. AndI have a compromised immune system. I knew that living with chickens was probably not ideal… But I didn’t know this could happen.

If you have covid, that could be the reason for the rash. It doesn't happen to everyone, but some with covid get rashes.
