Holes in duck foot

    IMG_1423.JPG IMG_1423.JPG IMG_1425.JPG I got an abandoned baby duck from our neighbor he wasn't walking right so I had been giving him niacin and it started getting better but he has holes in his feet.

    No I don't know what's happening though. He seems happy enough he swims and waffles around

    As long as he is well and there dosnt seem to be anything wrong with him...i guess he'll be fine as long as there is no swelling or blood or anything to be alarmed of....
    I understand you wanting to know whats wrong..i would feel the exact same.... :hugs

    Maybe he had his feet punched (for identification)? Many breeders do this to keep track of a bird and identify its parents/bloodlines. Generally, it is a pretty painless procedure that doesn't cause problems later in life. Either that, or he tore his foot on something.
