"Holistic" Dog thread!

I feel that! I don't know how many times the dogs have come begging me at dinner time, and the food is still frozen. Then soaking it in warm water, etc, etc. Its a pain.
Thats interesting. I'm interested to see if she decided she likes homemade raw better, I like the idea of a butcher flock, then you don't have to worry about sourcing grass fed, and all the other stuff.

Thats funny! I've got a picky eater to, he picked every organ (even the chicken hearts) out and onto the floor of our kitchen when I fed him for the first week.
Comet hated chicken wings/legs. I had to feed them first chopped into tiny bits for him to eat them.

Just chicken in the afternoon? Maybe for a week or a few days, but I would mix it with a balanced raw long term. I makeshift my raw if I run out, but thats usually only for a few days.

How cool! I'm saving that for sure!
One thing I would change. I'd use ghee instead of coconut oil since it can cause inflammation and gut irritation for dogs. I was surprised to find that out since it has the opposite affect for people.
Love that recipe though! Cinnamon is good stuff.

Interesting, I didn't know that. Also, I found out dogs love pumpkin! Only in small amounts though.

My dogs LOVE pumpkin, its so good for them too! I use it as an immune booster. Good tasty stuff.

Can you just serve it frozen? (Probably works better for some dogs than others.)

If I forget to pull it out I usually do. Just thaw it enough to get it out of the package and break it into smaller chunks. They don't seem to mind.

I use to have a dog but she grew up and moved out on her own I only see her when its dinner time and I ate something with bones and snacks otherwise I never see her anymore.
