Nathan walked in the room and sat down " you wanted to see me sir "

"Yes. Nathan, look at this footage." Dr. Mythe said, gesturing to one of the screens. "This footage is live, by the way."

It looked like an ordinary forest, with bugs and little birds flying around, but suddenly there was a low growl and something ran in front of the camera. It was only in sight for a second or two before it was long gone and couldn't be heard anymore.

"That animal, you only saw it for about a second. What do you think it was?" Dr. Mythe asked Nathan curiously, not sounding concerned at all about the fact something strange was obviously in the forest.

Nathan stared at the screen and tried to figure out what appeared on the screen " I don't know maybe a wild dog or cat of some kind, why do you ask?"

"I was just curious to see if you knew the real answer. But no, it's no cat or dog. That's a human." Dr. Mythe told him.

"Do you think that the original human race can last forever? In the direction we're going, do you think, that in a few hundred years, everyone will be alive and well?"

(Awesome, thanks.

where should I start?)

(Wherever you want. Caring for a patient, or something similar.)

"To be honest sir I've never thought about anything like that before "t

"Well, not many people think like I do. Think about hundreds of years later, when we'll all be dead." He said simply.

"I have studied the air, the oxygen, the soil, for many years. It is getting worse and worse every single year. So, with the information I have so far, I know that we're too far in to recover, and soon the earth will not be able to care for humans like it used to. We are driving ourselves to extinction, mainly by trying to keep ourselves alive. We make more medicine, cure more sicknesses, less people die. There's overpopulation, and then people use technology, and the pollution taints the earth. Do you understand where this is going?"
