Janette finished doing her rounds. Janette did stuff. Janette did some more stuff. Janette ate a granola bar. Janette tidied her room. Janette ate some gum, chewed said gum, then spit out gum. Janette had a beat boxing tournament with her goldfish because she was bored.

Wait. Wait wait wait. Ignore that last sentence.

(OMG!oh my)

Thomas was in his lab, testing on some rabbits. They didn't provide very good, solid information, but he noticed that he was running low on test subjects and couldn't be using them just for the heck of it. So, he used what he had a plethora of.

(Okay, for realz)

Janette set the book down gently and tip toed out of the room, desperately trying to not wake the patient. With her trusty clipboard in hand, she closed the door behind her, making sure to not release the handle till the door was completely closed so as to not make the annoying click that doors often do.
She stuck her navy blue fountain pen behind her ear and climbed the stairs to her room.
Today had been an easier day among the many she had spent at this place (does it have a real name??), and hopefully things would just get easier.

Upon entering her room, Janette tossed the board and pen on the bed and sat down beside them. She removed her ponytail holder, allowing her thick walnut-colored hair to flow freely around her shoulders, and laid down on her back.
The wall clock was in perfect view from the bed. She watched the second hand go round and round as it desperately tried to keep up.
The bed felt so good and relaxing, but she couldn't get too comfy yet. She still had to check in on Emily and take a patient his meal again. Earlier he had refused it.

Mia faced the direction the voice was coming from.
"Yes...I'm fine. Just made a mistake." She said quietly and calmly, ignoring her bloody hand.
(Sorry for my absence, I had family staying for the week.)

"We should get you checked out and get that glass out of your hand" Emily said extending her hand to the woman to help her up from the chair. The woman didn't take her hand, she just sat there looking past Emily's right shoulder. There was something about her eyes, they kind of drifted around without focusing on anything. Emily waved her hand in front of the woman's face, just as she thought, she must be blind. "My name is Emily, I am a patient here. My nurse's name is Janette, and she should be around soon. She can look at your hand, but we should go to the nurse's station to wait for her" Emily said.

(It's fine!)

Mia thought about that offer for a few moments before saying anything.
"...Okay." She said, not caring to say anything more than that.
