Homemade Feed thoughts

I am experimenting with some homemade poultry food for my 32 chickens. Let me know what you all think. I am sprouting the following grains for 5 days and then feeding them. I am also giving them 1 1/4 fishmeal

Wheat 2 1/2 cups
Corn 6 1/2 cups
Oats 5 1/8 cups
Barley 5 1/8 cups

It works out to be 7 pounds of feed per day. They also free range and get table scraps.

I would be a bit nervous about feeding them ONLY sprouted grain--have you seen or heard of anyone else doing that? Please let us know how it works out. Also do they have access to oyster shell?

i would cut back on the corn and barley. check my BYC page for links to some really great nutritional information (at the bottom of the page).

thanks for the feedback. Yes they have oyster shell available they also have grass silage available as well.
